In short
We don’t use advertising or social media cookies. The only optional cookies are Google Analytics, and they’re off unless you choose “Accept analytics”. Everything else the site stores is strictly necessary for something you’ve asked for.
Strictly necessary storage
- Your cookie choice (local storage in your browser): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don’t ask on every page.
- Diagnostic progress (session storage): remembers your answers so a refresh doesn’t lose your place, and passes your results to the contact form if you choose. Cleared when you close the tab, and never sent to us unless you include it with a message.
- Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile, on forms only): checks your browser to tell people from bots. Anything it stores is needed for that check and isn’t used for advertising.
- Booking calendar (Cal.com): nothing from Cal.com loads until you choose “Show available times”. Once it does, Cal.com may use cookies needed to make the booking work; see Cal.com’s own policy.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, storage that’s strictly necessary for something you’ve asked for doesn’t need consent.
Analytics cookies (optional)
Only if you accept, Google Analytics sets these cookies to count visits and see which pages lead to enquiries:
- _ga: tells one visit from another. Expires after 13 months.
- _ga_<ID>: keeps track of your current visit. Expires after 13 months.
If you reject, Google Analytics never loads. If you accept and later change your mind, it stops and these cookies are removed. You can change your choice at any time:
What we don’t use
No advertising, retargeting or social media cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party embeds that set cookies before you interact with them.
Your browser settings
You can also clear or block site storage in your browser settings, or use your browser’s private mode. The site still works; you’d just be asked about analytics again, and lose your place in the diagnostic. More about how we handle personal information is in our privacy notice.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change any cookies, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
